Red Bull Racing did excellent business at the French Grand Prix. The Austrians took first and third place with Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez, increasing their lead in the Constructors' Championship.

Mercedes took a lead over Red Bull at the start of the season, but that changed in the last few weeks. Thanks to the strong performances of Verstappen and Pérez the team was able to catch up with its competitor. Since it had both drivers on the podium in France, Red Bull is further ahead in the Constructors' Championship. The lead has increased to 37 points.

McLaren takes third place

Ferrari was in third place after the Azerbaijan GP, but had a significantly worse day in France. McLaren took advantage of this because the team scored 18 points. McLaren is now 16 points ahead of the Italian team.
