It doesn't show in hard results yet, but Carlos Sainz is starting to feel more and more at home in his new team Ferrari. A podium finish like last year with McLaren at Monza wasn't possible yet, but Sainz is satisfied with his performance so far.

Dream

At Motorsport-total.com, the Spaniard let us know what grade he would give for his performance so far. "A solid nine. I'm very happy with my life at the moment." Sainz experienced a special weekend anyway, as for the first time in his short Ferrari existence he was active on hallowed Italian soil as a Scuderia driver.

"I saw the fans in front of the fences, they had made several banners to support me," described Sainz: "Then I realized, okay, this is a moment I have been dreaming of for the last 15 years." Mattia Binotto is also clearly delighted with Sainz's presence. The Ferrar team boss has shared pinpricks towards Seb Vettel on numerous occasions this season, stating that the Scuderia will finally be on track with two courers this year.

Clothes

Sainz clearly feels at home at Ferrari. The Spaniard isn't averse to biting off his tongue either. Recently he was asked about a remark made by Daniel Ricciardo about Sainz. The Australian stated that Sainz dresses like a 60-year-old. "Style and class you just can't buy," Sainz said, "he still tries to wear those fancy clothes, but he doesn't know what it's like to wear a decent shirt."
