Hamilton not happy with Mercedes after all? 'Looks a bit grumpy'
- GPblog.com
Lewis Hamilton has renewed his contract with Mercedes and will therefore remain active in Formula 1 for at least oore year, but Martin Brundle found the Brit a little grumpy during an interview he did with the seven-time world champion.
It took quite a long time before it was all settled, but Hamilton will also race for Mercedes in Formula 1 in 2021. A logical choice so it seemed, but it took quite a long time before it was all official. According to Brundle, something is not quite right with the Mercedes driver.
Grumpy Hamilton
''We recorded a few things with him recently and he was very open, but in my opinion also a bit grumpy. At least that was my feeling in those conversations. It is also interesting that his right-hand man, Marc Hynes, no longer works for him. I have a feeling he wasn't entirely happy with the way the negotiations went with Mercedes,'' Brundle said in a Sky Sports video.
The former Formula One driver was then also tested by his compatriot. ''When we had that, I indicated that he was going to get 100 poles this year and then he immediately asked 'why?'. He really challenged me there, but then I said he already has 98 in 2020 10 times on pole," concludes the Sky Sports analyst.
