Alexander Albon can look back on a reasonably successful qualifying session in Turkey. The Thai took fourth place and will start tomorrow from the second row of the grid.

Throughout the weekend Albon was able to stay in the footsteps of his teammate Max Verstappen. During one of the free practice sessions on Friday, he even managed to finish second fastest, behind Verstappen. During Q1 and Q2 he also did well and was often far ahead. He says he is happy with this result to Sky Sports.

Car felt good

"It was good. To be honest, you could be a bit disappointed with fourth place after Friday and Q1 and Q2, but the car just felt really good and it really depended on getting the tyres at the right temperature. That worked out well at Racing Point. A compliment to them, they did a good job.

"I literally slipped every lap of the track, right down to my last lap. It was easier on the other tyres. On the intermediates, it was incredibly difficult and because you slipped off the track everywhere you didn't get a temperature in your tyres. It was very difficult," Albon said.
