FIA believes in abolishing qualification mode. But is it feasible?

A Formula 1 car is extremely complex. With a large number of sensors and measuring mechanisms, the FIA is trying to investigate whether the engines of all teams are working honestly. But how easy is it to check that?

Abolishing qualifying mode is a good example. It seems to be a simple FIA intervention: intended to weaken the teams with stronger engines so that the field comes closer together. However, we all know that the teams are striving for maximum results. The F1 cars have many other modes as well. Which can be used in the race. As a result, the gap between, for example, the top teams and midfield from Monza in the race may still be bigger than the FIA hopes. 

FIA thinks differently

However, the FIA itself believes that the ban on qualifying mode will have the desired effect: "In many cases, according to the FIA, it is virtually impossible to ensure that requests to modify the engine are indeed made for the purposes authorised by the regulations and have no impact on performance".
