Charles Leclerc was the only retirement in the Spanish Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver suffered from an engine that turned itself off during the race. Leclerc spun and fell back to P20. In the end Ferrari decided not to send Leclerc on the asphalt again when he returned to the pitlane.

"To be honest, there were two problems," Leclerc starts at Sky Sports. "The engine turned itself off, and when I wanted to restart the power source, it didn't work at first. Then I took my seatbelt off, but before that I had to go back to the pit box."

Leclerc misses out on World Championship points.

Eventually it was decided that Leclerc would step out of his SF1000. "The race was over when the engine turned itself off. It's a shame, because it wasn't a bad race. We had a good chance to cross the finish line in sixth or seventh place. We were very fast on the softs", the young driver regrets.

The fact that Leclerc's engine broke down had to do with an electrical problem.
