Max Verstappen has qualified on pole for the Mexican Grand Prix. The Dutchman recorded a time of 1:14.758 at the end of qualifying to beat rivals, Ferrari. A feat which he describes as "incredible". There was a double yellow at the end of the session as Valtteri Bottas hit the wall, but that didn't prevent Verstappen from sitting on pole.

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing have dipped a bit of the last few races, but the team have demonstrated they've still got improvements in the locker with this pole position in Mexico.

Verstappen was quick to highlight the hard work from the team and the number of upgrades available.

"We kept bringing out new parts to the car and it showed today, we are very quick. We always hope we keep pushing and try to find the right balance and in Q3 it all came together," Verstappen said in the on-track interviews.

"It will be a bit different starting first instead of second [on the grid] so I'll give it all and we have a good race car anyway so if something happens at the beginning we can get it done."

Verstappen has won the last two races in Mexico.
