Max Verstappen will start tomorrows race at the back of the grid but despite this, the Red Bull driver still wanted to get a few laps under his belt in Q1. He was unable to do so due to an issue with his engine but he doesn't think this will impact his race.

"I wanted to go out and try one lap," Verstappen said to the official F1 website. "I wanted to see how competitive we were in Q1 but coming out of turn two I lost power so I had to abort."

"In the dry, it will be really tough because on the first few laps they will pull away massively. This is a track where there aren't many corners so you can't gain that much time per lap and it's really hard to close that gap.

"In the wet, the differences will be a bit bigger and then we could come to the front. I definitely hope it's wet tomorrow! Even if it's dry we will try and make a good race out of it."

It will be great to see Verstappen battle his way up the grid and try and finish as high as he possibly can.
