Hamilton admits "it is really very difficult to imagine being anywhere else"
Lewis Hamilton has admitted it is hard to see himself anywhere but Mercedes despite fresh contract talks ongoing. The Brit is targeting a fifth World Championship with the Silver Arrows.
Hamilton joined Mercedes in 2013 and won his second title in F1 in 2014. He has since won three of the last four World Championships only missing out to Nico Rosberg in 2016.
He is in a strong position to retain his title this season but his current Mercedes deal runs out in 2020. However, Hamilton admitted it is hard for him to see himself at another team.
"My contract expires at the end of 2020, Mercedes already wants to start talking about renewal but it is missing even more than a year and it's a little strange to start dealing with this already," Hamilton said in an interview released to Sky Sports.
"Only a short time ago we reached a three-year agreement and now, halfway through this new path, we are already talking about the next one.
"However, I will begin to consider the various options in the coming months, but honestly it is really very difficult to imagine being anywhere else."
