Ferrari's super-sub
Oliver Bearman and fellow Brit Zak O'Sullivan are both testing for their respective
Formula 2 teams during their in-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Cataluyna. Bearman stood in for
Carlos Sainz during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and finished P8 in the race, ahead of
Lando Norris and
Lewis Hamilton.
How did the drivers get on?
Neither driver finished in the top 10 on Tuesday morning of the first day of testing, as the
Formula 2 teams learned more about their new generation of F2 cars.
McLaren junior Gabriel Borteleto finished Day one on top for Invicta Racing, with Bearman finishing the day P6. He was ahead of PREMA teammate
Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who may be looking at an
F1 seat even as early as 2024.
 O'Sullivan, who represents the
Williams Driver Academy, finished P16 in his ART, whilst his fellow
Williams junior Franco Colapinto ended the day 20th. Britain's other F2 representative, Taylor Barnard, finished the day in last place. He is a reserve for McLaren's
Formula E team.
O'Sullivan finished 8th in the morning session on Day 2, with Bearman and Barnard outside of the top 10. F2's next race is at
Imola, with O'Sullivan the leading British driver in the standings.
