The Haas team are having a positive season start in 2024. After four races, they are seventh in the constructors' championship with four points. Haas driver Kevin Magnussen highlights the good atmosphere within the team, and he hopes there are even better things in the pipeline.

Ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, Magnussen spoke about the development the team has gone through. "We started the car quite late, but it's been looking good."

Unexpected step forward

In the run-up to 2024, Haas tried to temper expectations somewhat, according to the Dane this was mainly due to a high degree of uncertainty after last year's weaker performance. "I think we were just being honest about the expectations. Last year had been a bit messy in terms of the car development, going back and forth between last year's car and this year's car. So there was no real reason to believe that we were up there again. I think we had a feeling that we would improve the car, but relative to everyone else, I thought that they had made more progress."

Despite Haas's good progress, Magnussen acknowledges that there is still plenty to be done. "Mainly aerodynamically, of course. But yes, I think overall, we need to continue to understand the car and get more out of it. And hopefully, we can deliver with the upgrades."
