Verstappen much more optimistic ahead of Japan GP: 'Adjustments made'
Max Verstappen is confident ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix. The Dutchman believes that adjustments to his car should be able to ensure that he can keep the competition behind him at Suzuka.
"It's always amazing to drive around here, especially in qualifying, the car really comes alive. Looking forward to today now, it's good weather today, a bit more sunny, so hopefully we can make it a positive result for the whole team," said Verstappen at the Drivers Parade in Japan.
How Verstappen can win the Japanese GP
On Saturday, Verstappen was still negative about his own race pace. How does he think he can keep the rivals behind him on Sunday? "I think we made a few changes to the car before qualifying that hopefully will help a bit for today, and that normally we should look a bit better. I'm excited, it's always a demanding track for tyre wear and stuff, so hopefully we did the right thing."
Max also paid a nice compliment to the fans in Japan to conclude: "It's always super nice to be here in Japan, they're always super friendly, very supportive towards us. Hopefully we can give them that. It's been a great race."
