Faenza, Italy, will remain the home of Visa Cash App RB, yet part of the team will move to Milton Keynes, the home of Red Bull Racing. The branch, currently based in Bicester, UK, should move to the complex next to the Red Bull Campus by the end of this year.

Team principal Laurent Mekies revealed this to the Italian branch of Motorsport.com. Renovations are currently underway and all work should be completed in nine months.

Apart from the fact that as a sister team it is easier to be close to Red Bull Racing, moving into a new complex was also much needed. Mekies explained: "Fifteen years ago, our team was a lot smaller and it made sense to choose Bicester. Now our aerodynamics department is three times bigger and we no longer use the wind tunnel there. We use a different one now and this location no longer fits."

Faenza stays

For Visa Cash App RB, it is important not to have the whole team move with them to Milton Keynes. This is partly driven by the fact that a lot of Italian staff are employed by the still scoreless team this season.

"I would like to stress that we have not asked anyone to come to England. Faenza is historically the team's home ground and has fairly modern facilities. We have also recently invested in the factory. The resources we have there are excellent and much of our design team is here."
