Eddie Jordan is looking at the situation currently surrounding Christian Horner's soap opera with great suspicion. Red Bull Austria would like to get rid of the Red Bull team boss, but the Thai branch does not want to hear about it. Oliver Mintzlaff, successor to the late Dietrich Mateschitz, would prefer to get rid of the British team boss. Disgusted by the situation, Jordan gives his opinion.

An investigation has been launched into Horner, as the Englishman is accused of inappropriate behaviour. For now, Horner has denied all allegations.

Jordan calls Red Bull situation 'absurd'

"I have seen many wrong decisions. But the Red Bull situation is the most absurd I have ever seen," the Irishman told F1 Insider. "Of course, Horner has the presumption of innocence, but does anyone seriously believe that the employee made the accusations out of thin air? If Horner is innocent, is she guilty? The damage to Red Bull's image is already enormous. Someone has to pull the string now."

Mintzlaff cannot sack Horner because he only owns 49% of Red Bull Racing. So the German does not have enough power to sack Horner. Thai owner Chalerm Yoovidhya doesn't want to sack Horner, and would do anything to keep Horner at Red Bull. Ralf Schumacher previously explained what is so bad about the Thai owners.
