While the entire Formula 1 world has held its breath for days over Christian Horner's fate, the internal investigation at Red Bull continues. This Friday, an independent lawyer will question the British team boss about his alleged inappropriate behaviour. Based partly on his answers and the evidence presented, the Red Bull empire will have to decide whether Horner can stay on.

Red Bull Racing will present the RB20 on 15 February. Max Verstappen will use that car to hunt for his fourth consecutive World Championship, and Sergio Perez will do everything he can to become World Champion. The Austrian team no doubt want the presentation to be about the sporting aspects and for the launch not to be overshadowed by the case surrounding Horner. Therefore, the overall feeling is that Red Bull wants clarity on Horner's future before the launch.

When will Horner get a decision?

British newspaper Daily Mail writes that there will be no definite answer (yet) on Friday. According to the tabloid newspaper, a decision will not follow until next week. Only in the unlikely event that Horner admits to being over the top this Friday or possibly draws his own conclusions can a press release from the headquarters in Austria be expected.

At the beginning of the week, it emerged that Horner was accused of inappropriate behaviour towards a Red Bull Racing employee. The team boss of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez reportedly behaved in an "extremely authoritarian" manner towards the employee. Red Bull - the parent organisation in Austria - took these allegations extremely seriously and launched the investigation, for which Horner is reportedly being questioned in London.
