The first free practice session of the Formula E weekend in Saudi Arabia is over. Oliver Rowland drove the fastest time with a 1:15:400, with Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel van Doorne behind him. Robin Frijns scored was again the best Dutchman. His 1:16:356 was good for the tenth fastest time.

Nyck de Vries did not fare as well. Once again, the former AlphaTauri driver had a difficult session, resulting in 21st place. The only one behind De Vries on the timesheet was Sebastien Buemi. He crashed out, and so the Friesland-born driver is the last of the drivers to reach the finishing flag without crashing out.
