Dutch racing team MP Motorsport and Helmut Marko, Red Bull Racing's advisor, have a good relationship. Last season, for instance, MP's Formula 2 team got Dennis Hauger, then a Red Bull Junior Team member. Next season, Marko will again give a young talent to MP: Tim Tramnitz (19) will be promoted to the Formula 3 championship next season thanks to MP Motorsport.

"It’s wonderful to be able to step up to FIA Formula 3 with a team such as MP Motorsport," Tramnitz responded. "They have won in every single-seater category that they have competed in, and I’m confident that their experience will contribute to being on the pace in FIA F3 straight out of the blocks. It was a joy to test the car at those three tracks, and I worked well with the team. So now let’s translate that to the races – I can’t wait to get started!”

'Tim is going to live up to Red Bull's name'

"We are truly happy to see Tim become a new member of our FIA Formula 3 driver line-up," said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport's team manager. "He has been a force to be reckoned with all through his time in FRECA, so he is more than ready for his step up to the next level. The tests showed that he’s up there among the more experienced drivers. I’m sure that Tim  will do the Red Bull name proud in 2024."

Tramnitz made his debut in formula cars in 2020 and immediately reached fourth place in the German F4 championship that year. In 2021, the German finished second in both the German and Italian F4 championships before being promoted to the highly regarded FRECA in 2022. After finishing 15th in his debut season in this highly competitive championship, he finished third in the title race in his second year.
