Michael Schumacher at dinner table? 'Heard that from people in F1'

It has been ten years since Michael Schumacher 's accident and still very little information is coming out about the seven-time world champion's condition. Johnny Herbert is hearing here and there, but would have liked to hear more about his former teammate too.

On 29 December 2013, Schumacher was skiing in the French Alps. Near the town of Meribel, however, things went wrong for Schumacher. The former F1 driver has not been seen by followers of F1 since then. Only people very close to Schumacher are allowed to visit and really know how he is doing.

How is Michael Schumacher doing?

"I hear bits only second hand. I hear, from those within F1, he does sit at the table for dinner but don’t know if that is true. I can only read between the lines. We haven’t heard much from the family and understandably so. That has always been very much a part of Michael and the family’s way to keep everything very private, very secretive," Herbert told Bettingsites.co.uk.

Herbert was Michael Schumacher's teammate at Benetton's F1 team in 1994 and 1995, but as a former teammate of Schumacher, he is not one of the people still allowed to visit. Herbert feels things are not going as many had hoped. According to the Briton, fans of Schumacher would have liked to hear more, but without information, they are left guessing that things are still not better.

"In my opinion, and I must stress this, because we haven’t heard anything from the family, it shows that unfortunately he is probably in the similar situation as he was straight after the accident. It doesn’t seem they have moved much, if at all. I suppose the family is waiting for science to come up with something that will hopefully bring back the Michael we all knew and for the people who only saw him through the television pictures when he was being dynamic on a race track," concluded the three-time race winner.
