Supersofts dominate Brazilian GP choices

Supersofts dominate Brazilian GP choices

All teams have opted to take mainly supersoft tyres to the Brazilian Grand Prix next weekend.

The mediums, softs and supersofts were available to the ten teams, with every driver being allocated between seven and nine sets of the red striped tyre out of their 13 allowed sets.

With the exception of Kimi Raikkonen, who has gone for eight sets, all the drivers in the top three teams of Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have chosen to take nine sets of the supersofts.

It seems that teams are expecting to only use the supersoft and soft compound tyre during the race, with the medium compound proving very unpopular.

Most drivers have stuck with the mandatory one set, with nobody selecting more than two.

Every driver must run either the medium or hard compound for one stint of the Grand Prix, which starts at 6:10 pm UK time.
