The Belgian Grand Prix has been confirmed for the 2025 F1 calendar. Great news for the organisers of the historic F1 event and great news for many F1 enthusiasts. With yet another confirmation for the 2025 F1 calendar, it is time to list which Grands Prix are already sure to have a place in the F1 championship in two years' time.

These circuits, like Belgium, are also on F1 calendar 2025

With the confirmation of Belgium, the 2025 F1 calendar already seems almost full. Many circuits have contracts with F1 that run through 2025 or longer. The Grands Prix that are currently certain to run through 2025 are those of Belgium, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Las Vegas, Emilia Romagna, the Netherlands, Brazil and China.

The remaining circuits have contracts that continue for even longer and will therefore also be seen on the 2025 calendar. These Grands Prix will take place in the United States (COTA), Azerbaijan, Spain, Singapore, Austria, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Miami, Canada, Qatar, Hungary, Australia and Bahrain. A full breakdown of the exact length of the contracts can be found here.

F1 calendar 2025 almost full already?

With 22 Grands Prix already fixed for 2025, there is very little space left on the calendar. In the initial 2023 schedule, 24 races were scheduled. The same will be the case in 2024. The Grands Prix of Japan and Great Britain are currently only under contract through 2024. It is likely that these iconic circuits will remain on the calendar beyond 2024 because of their historical value.

So it looks like the 2025 calendar is pretty much filled. It is almost inconceivable, though not impossible, that Suzuka and Silverstone will disappear from the calendar after 2024. If the calendar is not expanded to more than 24 races in 2025, that would leave a maximum of two spots open for other circuits. At that extreme, that would mean that the historic circuits mentioned above would have to clear the field. It is more likely, therefore, that there will be fewer than two available spots on the 2025 F1 calendar.
