Charles Leclerc has been on pole position in the last two editions of the Singapore Grand Prix. Over one lap, the Ferrari driver is usually competitive, but what does he expect from Sunday's race?

Leclerc doesn't believe any of it

It has been suggested here and there that Ferrari will pose the biggest threat to Red Bull Racing this coming weekend, but Leclerc himself is sceptical. "It's nice to read that, but I'm not buying it at all. I really think that they will be the strongest this weekend, especially on race day. In Qualy, maybe it will be close, but maybe not," he said in conversation with Sky Sports.

The conclusion: "We don’t know. I think on a high downforce track like here, I expect us to struggle more than Monza. So I don't think they will have any threats. I think they'll just be the fastest," the Ferrari driver stated.

In Monza, Ferrari proved surprisingly competitive in front of the home crowd, but Leclerc does not think that is a good indicator for the upcoming weekend. "[Monza] is a low downforce track, and we know that our car is performing very well on those kinds of tracks. I don't think it will be the same here," said the number six in the championship.
