Max Verstappen is dominating in Formula 1 at the moment. The Dutchman has now won six races in a row and seems virtually unbeatable. In Britain, McLaren briefly led the Grand Prix, but Verstappen was too strong there too. McLaren CEO Zak Brown thinks the two-time world champion will eventually be caught up.

Verstappen stands head and shoulders above the rest in 2023. The Dutchman has won eight out of 10 races and also captured pole position seven times. Even teammate Sergio Perez can no longer make things difficult for Verstappen: the gap between the two Red Bull Racing drivers is no less than 99 points in the world championship.

At Silverstone, McLaren performed very well and here the British formation scored its first podium of the season. However, victory was still out of reach. "Racing has been unbelievably close other than Max. Someone will eventually catch Max, hopefully, it will be us," Brown told Sky Sports at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Brown can only respect the Dutchman's performance in 2023. "He's doing an unbelievable, unbelievable job and it is great to see world champions at the top of their game. So you got to admire what he's doing. But I think once you look past Max, the field is unbelievably condensed and I think it's just going to get more exciting as we move forward."
