Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner has no plans to give Daniel Ricciardo a Formula One seat for next season. The good-humoured Australian recently said it would be a fairytale ending to his career at Red Bull, but the British team boss has no plans to gift him a seat in motorsport's premier class.

Ricciardo in Formula 1 next season?

"It's not something we are planning, that's for sure," Horner said when asked if there was any possibility of Ricciardo getting a full-time seat with the team in the future. "It was good to give him the chance to stay within the team this year and keep him with the sport," he added.

Ricciardo seems eager to get back to racing in Formula 1 next season. The 34-year-old Ricciardo may get a chance to show his worth at AlphaTauri, but first, the Red Bull reserve driver is testing tyres from Pirelli. This will take place at Silverstone on Tuesday.
