Mick Schumacher would still like a seat in a Formula 1 car. This season the German is sitting on the sidelines in Formula 1, but he hopes for a return. Preferably as soon as possible still, reports the 24-year-old driver who made his debut in 2021.

"I am always ready for action. Believe me, I am working very hard to hopefully be back in the car soon. Hopefully, it will happen soon. Next year at the latest. I'm sure something will happen in the near future," Schumacher told RTL.

Where will Schumacher race?

Currently, Schumacher spends most of his time in the simulator. Only in Barcelona a fortnight ago did he get to race in the current Mercedes car for the first time. Over 140 laps the driver was behind the wheel in Spain.

Schumacher explained that it will be difficult to race in Formula 1 this season. "It is unlikely that such a thing will happen. After all, there are contracts that are usually fulfilled. Basically, I think just about any team is a good option," explained the German, born in Switzerland.
