It was recently announced that Rob Marshall, Red Bull Racing's chief engineering officer, was moving to McLaren. Driver's team Oscar Piastri explained that he is happy with the arrival of the former Red Bull chief, the Australian told a press briefing, which GPblog attended, ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.

"Yeah, I'm really excited to have him on board." the McLaren driver told us. "And obviously, coming from a team like Red Bull and a very senior position at Red Bull, he's obviously incredibly highly respected. So, I'm excited to be working with him in the future," he added.

For seventeen years, Marshall was employed by the Austrian team. The 55-year-old Briton is reportedly going to earn a lot more at the orange-coloured team. Max Verstappen also already hinted that the lapse was coming.

"hopefully, he can help us move forward, I think, with everything that we've changed in our structure, and I guess car concept and design as well. I feel like we're moving in a good direction now. So, he'll just complement that," Piastri said.
