Peter Windsor enjoyed Max Verstappen's performance at the Monaco Grand Prix, with the F1 analyst noting that the two-time world champion felt completely at ease in the RB19, despite the treacherous conditions.

"He was as quick as he needed to be at any stage of the race," said Windsor, who saw Verstappen easily find the pace when needed. "Leaving enough of a margin to be able to do the job, but equally being very fast when he had to be. The car control that he showed when there with no pressure on him at all and he was on intermediates, and the car was well balanced."

The 25-year-old Dutchman made significant gains in the World Championship standings, with his lead over teammate and number two Sergio Perez growing to 39 points. "Another exceptionally good win for Max on a day that a million things could've gone wrong because it was the Monaco Grand Prix." Verstappen, however, remained faultless and was able to take his fourth win of 2023.

Verstappen strong in Monaco

Verstappen's starts this season have not all been strong, but in Monaco, he got away well as the lights went out. The Red Bull driver from there set the pace, and that pace proved unmatchable for anyone. "He gradually pulled away. It was a joy to watch, really impressive drive by Max," Windsor said in a new video on his YouTube channel. "How good he is at shortening the corners, and how good he is at getting the front end to work... Max has this incredible feel and balance with everything he is doing with the steering and throttle and the brakes to keep the car on a stable platform."
