Imola GP weather forecast: Thursday (finally) dry, but weekend wet again

At the moment, it is far from certain whether next weekend's Imola Grand Prix will go ahead. The area where the circuit is located has been hit by severe weather in recent days, resulting in numerous floods. But what is the weather forecast for the coming days in Imola?

Thursday finally dry

There will still be occasional showers in Imola today, but during the night it will (finally) stop raining, according to Weather.com. On Thursday, it will remain dry all day and even the sun will occasionally come out.

Friday already rain again

It won't stay dry for long in Imola as showers are already predicted again on Friday. Fortunately, there will no longer be severe weather with huge amounts of rain. It will be about 19 degrees Celsius on Friday and the sun will stay behind the clouds all day.

Even more rain

Saturday has the same picture as Friday: showers will fall all day. This makes qualifying in rainy conditions plausible, which would literally and figuratively ruin the new qualifying format. It will be one degree cooler than on Friday.

On Sunday, the end of the rain is in sight. There will still be some showers in the morning, but in the afternoon it will remain cloudy, with no rain. As a result, if the Grand Prix weekend goes ahead, the race could easily be the same as in 2021 and 2022. Here, the race was started on intermediate tyres before changing to slicks.
