Jordan on Hamilton at Mercedes: 'He needs to get out of there'

Lewis Hamilton is driving his 11th season with Mercedes this year. The Briton has enjoyed huge successes with his current team, but since the new regulations in 2022, things have slowed down. Eddie Jordan thinks Hamilton should leave Mercedes.

From 2014 to 2021, Mercedes won all constructors' championships, but from 2022 it went downhill. Mercedes struggled with the new regulations introduced at the time and has only recorded one win since then. It was not Hamilton who won this race, but his young teammate George Russell.

Jordan tips Hamilton

This season Hamilton is having a very tough time in his W14, something the Briton himself admitted. The seven-time world champion is 4-1 behind in the qualifying duels against his teammate and was even eliminated in Q2 in Miami. Jordan believes Hamilton should leave the German constructor.

"I never thought that he [Russell] would be beating Lewis. My only concern is that Lewis has to find something else in his mojo now and he needs to get out of there. He needs to move on, just like he did when he was with McLaren. Get out of Mercedes Lewis!" says Jordan in the Formula For Success podcast.
