Jack Doohan ended the first day of Formula 2 testing in Barcelona with the fastest time. The Invicta Virtuosi Racing driver recorded a time of 1:24.177, faster than Oliver Bearman and Frederik Vesti.

In the morning session, it was Kush Maini who set the tone, followed by Jehan Daruvala and Ralph Boschung. However, Maini's fastest time of 1:24.943 was still eight tenths above the final fastest time of the day.

The morning went quietly, until Dennis Hauger's MP Motorsport car got stuck in the gravel after a spin. In doing so, the current number six in the F2 championship caused the first red flag of the day. With 14 minutes to go, the drivers were able to continue their way.

The timesheet in the afternoon session was initially led by Trident drivers Clement Novalak and Roman Stanek, but they would fall way down the list during the session. The fastest time was improved by Enzo Fittipaldi and later by Ayumu Iwasa and Isack Hadjar, but in the end it was Doohan who ended the test day as the fastest man. On Thursday at 09:00, the drivers return to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for day two of the test.
