Norris snubs Pirelli: 'It's F1 unworthy'

Lando Norris is unhappy with the work of tyre supplier Pirelli. The tyres the British driver had on his McLaren in Australia were unworthy of Formula 1 in his eyes, he told to Autosport.
The McLaren driver blamed the incidents at Albert Park on the Italian manufacturer's rubber. “We have a soft [tyre] on that's 65 degrees [Centigrade] and I can't describe how little grip there is on track. That's why you see everyone going straight on in turn 1."
'Formula 1 unworthy'
The Brit thinks the tyres are Formula 1-unworthy. "We need a tyre that gives us some more grip and actually a tyre that feels like it should be on a Formula 1 car at the top of motorsport and at the moment, on a day like today, it feels pretty terrible," Norris said about Pirelli. The FIA has indicated that other tyre manufacturers may apply to be suppliers from 2025. For Norris, it is to be hoped that the likes of Bridgestone or Michelin are thinking of a comeback in the premier class.
