Although Lando Norris says his future in Formula 1 and at McLaren is not in question, the Brit does hint that he is open to a move to, say, Red Bull Racing if "the adventure" at McLaren takes too long.

The McLaren driver was a guest on the Quadrant's YouTube show and there he was confronted with some statements from Red Bull team boss Christian Horner. Horner said in an episode of Netflix series Drive to Survive after confirming that Ricciardo would be driving for McLaren: "The fact that he's a good-looking young lad, comfortable driving a car and he is funny; [as a teammate] I would hate that, it could'nt be worse." In the video, Norris laughs at the clip and jokingly admits to paying Horner a lot for it.

Norris' future not in question, but door is ajar

Norris answers whether he will ever respond to Red Bull's advances and discusses his future plans in F1, if any. Norris: "I'm here [at McLaren] for a few more years and that's because that's what I want. I knew beforehand that we wouldn't win championships. I knew it would be an adventure where development and improvement was key, to do get there."

Norris' future is still (contractually) with McLaren, so it is not an issue at the moment. But a move to a championship team is not something the Briton is willing to rule out, leaving a crack in the door for Horner and Red Bull: "I'm not the most patient man."
