Mick Schumacher may have been sidelined by Haas, but he has no intention of giving up on his dream. The young German still has grand ambitions and sees himself returning to Formula 1.

His surname has been both a blessing and a curse for him. Staying under the radar was therefore not an option for Schumacher, who made his debut in Formula 1 in 2021. After two seasons, Haas sidelined him, but despite this, the 23-year-old German does not lack self-confidence.

He is not someone who likes to stand out and prefers to let his results speak for themselves. Whether he has really been given the chance to do so at Haas remains to be seen, as his first season was a struggle with a car that was undeveloped all year.

Schumacher still believes in F1 dream

Schumacher therefore certainly does not see his departure as final and believes he has earned his place in F1. "I have proven everything necessary to show that I can be quick, not only this year but also my previous years in junior categories. I am a Formula 2 and Formula 3 champion, I think people forget that right now," he said in conversation with The Race.

Schumacher, who will become a reserve driver at Mercedes next year, still believes he can reach the absolute top. "I’ve always proved myself in the sense that whatever category I’ve started in, I always got on top of it quite quickly. So I do have a feeling I can get on top of Formula 1 in the sense that I am capable of winning the world championship at the right time, in the right car," Schumacher said.
