Harsh words for Ferrari: 'Something needs to happen urgently in the leadership'

Ferrari is hoping Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc can make up some places in the sprint race for the Brazilian Grand Prix. During qualifying on Friday, there was once again chaos in the Italian team's garage, leaving the two drivers no further than P5 and P10. Ralf Schumacher believes something needs to change in Ferrari's leadership.
Ferrari has made strategic mistakes many times this season, which ultimately led Red Bull Racing to run away with the title in dominant fashion. In 2023, the team hopes to come back stronger and win the title, but according to Schumacher, a lot has to change within the team if they want to make that happen.
In qualifying at Interlagos, another strategic error was made by Ferrari. Leclerc was the only driver sent out on intermediates in Q3. As a result, the Monegasque lost crucial track time as he had to come back in for a set of softs. In the end, he came no further than tenth place.
Harsh words from Schumacher
"They will have to change some things. If it stays like this, I don't see much hope [for the title], because the potential was there this year to fight for the world championship", Schumacher explains to Sky Germany.
Ferrari seemed to have a strong car in qualifying, but in the end the team screwed it up themselves. Fortunately for Ferrari, Sainz and Leclerc will have two chances to make up positions in Brazil during the sprint race and the main race. "Something has to happen urgently in the leadership, otherwise it will be difficult. Something has to change", says the former Formula 1 driver.
