Lewis Hamilton does not dare to prejudge things yet ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion also says that it is a surprise every time how big Mercedes' gap is compared to Red Bull Racing.

Speaking to Motorsport-Total Hamilton says that every time a new race weekend presents itself, Mercedes is surprised by how big the gap is or how close the German racing stable is.

The Briton does not yet know whether the car will be spectacular at Interlagos and does not expect the team to be close again like in Mexico, where he finished second. Still, Hamilton is hoping for another surprise in the country where he was awarded honorary citizenship this week.

Realistic

Still, Hamilton looks realistically at the fact that on paper it will not be the easiest weekend, but weather could still play an important role. Finally, Hamilton adds that the race in Brazil should at least be better than the race in Abu Dhabi next week, especially because of the long straights.
