Now that Ferrari has more or less resigned itself to putting little in the way of Red Bull Racing's bid for the world title in 2022, the Italian team is heading into perhaps its most important weekend of the year. It's all about restoring honour at Monza, where Ferrari will celebrate its 75th anniversary in front of its home crowd.

Will Ferrari have its golden weekend?

The team's accumulation of mistakes during the Formula One season has led to much cynicism among Italian fans. Yet again they have flocked to Monza to support their beloved Ferrari at the Italian Grand Prix. Both Ferrari and Monza are celebrating an anniversary, and after a series of disappointing results the team is in need of a victory.

If Ferrari can achieve that victory in front of the home crowd, the team will have restored much of its honour. From Friday, the Scuderia already showed a strong pace and Charles Leclerc managed to take pole position under loud cheers. The outlook for the Italians is all the better as Max Verstappen will start from P7, giving Leclerc the edge.

Will Ferrari have a golden weekend and put an end to the series of disappointments the team has suffered? Or will the pressure prove too much for either the team or Leclerc?
