Red Bull Racing and Porsche will not work together from 2026. Red Bull is said to be Auto, Motor und Sport Red Bull is already working on its own engine, while Honda is also looking at a possible comeback.

Red Bull Racing and Porsche looked at the possibility of working together in F1 from 2026. Porsche, however, wanted to enter the sport not only as an engine partner but also as a co-owner of the team. Red Bull, however, did not want to lose power within its own team.

Red Bull and Honda

Red Bull is in a strong position in 2022. It is no longer dependent on an engine supplier, especially now that it has its own engine factory in Milton Keynes. According to AMuS, 300 people are currently working on a prototype engine for 2026, which has been on the test bench since the summer break. Red Bull thus seems to be ahead of a possible deal with another party.

One party that might be interested in a partnership with Red Bull is Honda. The Japanese manufacturer is said to regret its departure from F1 and may want to return, but the question is whether a renewed cooperation with Red Bull is the solution. Honda would like to develop the engine itself and not just print a Honda logo on the engine built by Red Bull.
