Charles Leclerc was not in Ferrari's usual red at the press conference on Thursday afternoon, but in a yellow outfit for once. It has everything to do with the Italian Grand Prix that is on the programme this weekend. The Monegasque has already had a great week.

"The Monza week is crazy busy for us, but an incredible feeling," Leclerc told Sky Sports and others at the press conference. "They make you feel at home. I like it, it's a bit strange. But it's cool for one race."

Leclerc realistic about chances

Italian fans are looking expectantly at the race scheduled for next Sunday. The hope is that Ferrari will be able to beat Red Bull Racing, although this looks set to be difficult in terms of the world championship.

With seven races to go Max Verstappen has a lead of over 100 points. Moreover, the Dutchman has managed to score most of his points on circuits with long straights and fast corners, where he can benefit from his top speed. The Monza circuit therefore seems perfect for Verstappen.

"I think it will be a difficult weekend. On paper it will be. We expect Red Bull will be stronger. The track characteristics don't fit our car. But we've had some good and bad surprises this year, hopefully it's a good one."
