The Formula One season gets a continuation this weekend. The race weekend in Spa-Francorchamps may well be the last for years to come, as the circuit in Belgium is in danger of losing its place on the calendar. Lando Norris does not support that decision, he told Express.
The Belgian Grand Prix has been on the racing calendar, with a few interruptions, for decades. Although the drivers still like to come to the circuit, the Formula 1 organisation is trying to create space in the programme for other countries and Belgium seems to be the victim.
"It would be a shame to lose Spa," Norris judged. "A lot of things these days are just about money - that's the problem. It's a business. It's a historic race for F1, the same as Monaco. As far as I know, they don't even pay in Monaco and it's still on the calendar."
Organisation GP Belgium fears losing F1
