Jos Verstappen expects a strong race for Red Bull Racing and son Max Verstappen. According to the Dutchman, the team looks strong in both dry and wet conditions, but Verstappen expects it to remain dry at the British Grand Prix.

During qualifying, Max Verstappen finished second. The singular world champion had to briefly take his foot off the gas after Leclerc's spin, which caused him to lose time. "If you look at the whole practice, he was just incredibly fast. Just that last lap, that's what it's all about. I think Leclerc had a spin. There was a yellow flag and he had to take his foot off the gas in the corners before that straight, so then you miss the momentum. I think he lost two and a half tenths there. It can happen, it's just a bit of bad luck", Jos Verstappen told Viaplay on the grid.

Verstappen has every confidence in the pace of the Red Bull car and his son. "The most important thing is that we have a fast car, he was good in the dry. He looked good in the rain, so full of confidence."

Will it stay dry at Silverstone?

There are currently dark clouds hanging over the Silverstone circuit and a few drops are falling. According to the radar there might be a shower after the start, but Jos Verstappen thinks it will stay mostly dry. "It depends a bit on what happens at the start. That is always exciting. It also depends on the strategy, but I think we will have a very exciting race. What we can see, maybe a few drops, but not really rain. It should stay dry," says the Dutchman.
