The Formula 1 teams do not yet have to fear penalties during the Canadian Grand Prix if they do not comply with the FIA 's new guidelines on porpoising. However, the organization is going to measure the situation at the different teams, so reports Auto, Motor und Sport.
Since this season, many racing teams have been struggling with a problem with porpoising. The cars of Ferrari and Mercedes, among others, make a movement that goes up and down on the straight, which has caused physical discomfort for several drivers.
The FIA therefore decided to intervene and this week set out a number of guidelines that should ensure that the problems diminish and even disappear in the future. In doing so it places some of the responsibility on the teams themselves.

FIA does not intervene yet

It means for various teams that there is work to be done, but they do not have to fear this weekend. The FIA intends to analyze the current state of affairs, but thinks it is still too early to actually intervene. Possibly this will be the case in early July during the GP at Silverstone.
