Verstappen happy with result for Red Bull: 'One-two is very much deserved'

Max Verstappen has won in dominant fashion on home soil of Ferrari. The Dutchman grabbed the maximum number of points for the Imola Grand Prix. In front of the cameras of Formula 1, he talks about his race.

Verstappen takes another Grand Slam this weekend. The Dutchman took the pole position, fastest lap, victory and drove the entire race in the lead. In addition, he also took the win in the sprint race.

"It’s always tough to achieve something like that, but already yesterday and the day before we were on it. I think it was looking like a strong weekend. Today, you never know with the weather how competitive you are going to be. As a team, we did everything well. I think this one-two was very deserved," he said after the race.

Verstappen takes important points

After the start, Verstappen quickly made a gap towards the rest of the field. Nobody could come close to his Red Bull. At Ferrari, everything went wrong after the crash of Carlos Sainz and the spin of Leclerc. The Dutchman therefore takes important points in the championship.
