Ferrari surprised: 'Even Newey can't manage to fight it'

Ferrari is having an excellent season in Formula 1. Where the Italian racing team has failed to compete with the top teams in recent years, Charles Leclerc is convincingly at the top of the World Championship after three Grands Prix. According to Leo Turrini, however, this did not come out of the blue.

The well-known Italian Formula 1 connoisseur saw that Mattia Binotto's team was focusing early on the new season in 2021. The formation did everything possible to perform well immediately during the 2022 test days. It succeeded, because during the winter tests in Barcelona and Bahrain Ferrari already made a positive impression.

Also at the beginning of the season Ferrari managed to continue this line. Leclerc managed to win the races in Bahrain and Australia, while he finished second in the GP of Saudi Arabia. This puts the Monegasque well at the top of the rankings.

Ferrari is stronger than Red Bull for now

According to Turrini, Ferrari has now managed to surprise rival Red Bull. "It is important for Ferrari to understand its own car. Against such a concept, even Adrian Newey can't manage to fight it," he wrote in his blog on Quotidiano.net.
