'Red Bull adopts strategy with silence on solution'
- GPblog.com
Red Bull Racing was hoping to do well right away in the opening race in Bahrain, but fuel supply problems forced both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez to both drop out. Although the Austrians have reportedly fixed the problem, according to De Telegraaf not planning to reveal what the solution was.
Where Verstappen did not manage to take the victory in Bahrain, he did seem almost certain of the second final position. In the final phase of the race that changed, because suddenly the Dutchman had to deal with reduced power. Shortly after Verstappen, the same thing happened to Perez.
In the days that followed, Red Bull investigated where the problem was. It turned out to be a vacuum in the fuel pump, which made it impossible for fuel to flow to the engine. In the meantime, the racing team would have found a solution to the problem.
Red Bull refuses to reveal solution
However, Red Bull still won't say what it has done to prevent the problem in the future and according to the medium the team has a clear reason for that. The Austrians are said to be taking into account that the problem will also play a role in other formations in the coming months, so they don't want to make the competition any wiser than it already is.
