Lewis Hamilton is having a tough start to the season despite his third place finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Indeed, for the time being, his team is up against rivals Red Bull Racing and Ferrari. At the same time, Hamilton believes that people should not underestimate the team's strengths.

Whereas in recent years the German formation was used to consistently fighting for the world title, this season is different. Ferrari took the first and second place in the opening race in Bahrain. In addition, Red Bull made a good impression, although Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen had to drop out prematurely.

For now Mercedes is the third team, but not if it is up to Hamilton. The driver won no less than six world titles with the Germans in recent years and therefore knows what Mercedes has to offer. Hamilton is therefore confident that this season will be good.

Hamilton goes for his eighth world title

During an expo in Dubai, Hamilton took the floor. Although he indicated that the competition looks good, he thinks Mercedes is going to come back. "I've come back to fight for the 8th. So, that's what I'm gonna do."
