Nico Rosberg hopes Formula 1 will provide more clarity on what is and isn't allowed during racing in 2022, to avoid the discussions that arose in 2021.

In the final phase of the Formula 1 season, the decisions of the stewards came under increasing scrutiny. Where one week a driver got a penalty for an overtaking move, the same or another driver got no penalty for exactly the same offense. According to Rosberg the Formula 1 must clarify this in 2022.

Clarity in F1

"The sport needs to make progress. It starts even with all the overtaking, the wheel-to-wheel action. The FIA needs to tighten all that up so that we don't have all these discussions," Rosberg said at Sky Sports. The German saw his former rival Lewis Hamilton lose his title in Abu Dhabi on the final lap of the race as different rules were applied with the safety car.

According to Rosberg, it would be much better for the sport if there was more clarity, because it would also make the sport easier to follow. Who is right and who is wrong can then be determined more quickly, and then there can be more attention to the race. According to Rosberg, F1 should not want the current discussions.
