Eddie Jordan was an Irish former Formula 1 team boss. He became known as the founder of Jordan Grand Prix, which competed in Formula 1 between 1991 and 2005. After his career as a team principal, Jordan worked as a commentator for the BBC. He passed away in 2025 due to bladder and prostate cancer.

Eddie Jordan was born on March 30, 1948, in Dublin, Ireland. He began karting in 1970 and won the Irish Kart Championship in his debut year in 1971. In 1974, he moved into single-seaters in Formula Ford. After an accident in which he broke both legs, Jordan made a comeback and went on to compete in Formula Atlantic, British Formula 3, and Formula 2. He also received some testing opportunities with McLaren.

Following his driving career, Jordan founded his own team in 1979: Eddie Jordan Racing. In 1991, the team entered Formula 1 under the name Jordan Grand Prix. That same year, Jordan gave young Michael Schumacher his F1 debut. The team’s peak came in 1998 and 1999, with drivers such as Damon Hill and Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Jordan scored multiple podiums and race victories. In 2005, Eddie Jordan sold his team to Midland Group.
