Alonso lamenta morte de Gil de Ferran: "Dia muito triste"
Para ganhar a Tríplice Coroa no automobilismo, você precisa vencer o Grande Prêmio de Mônaco, as 24 Horas de Le Mans e a Indy500. Somente Graham Hill conseguiu vencer esses três eventos. Para Fernando Alonso, lhe resta apenas a Indy500. Em 2017, o espanhol liderou 27 voltas no Indianapolis Speedway antes de seu motor Honda apresentar problemas.
O bom desempenho de Alonso na famosa corrida se deveu em parte a Gil de Ferran, que faleceu nesta sexta-feira (29). No X, Alonso prestou uma homenagem emocionada ao brasileiro, que também venceu a Indy500, em 2003: "Estou sem palavras. É um dia muito triste. Obrigado pelos momentos que compartilhamos, por me ensinar de todo o coração a correr em ovais e pelas inúmeras lembranças que criamos juntos. Sentiremos falta de você, Gil".
