On board with the RB18 for a lap around the new circuit in Las Vegas

Following the announcement of the addition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix to the Formula 1 calendar, the designed layout of the new circuit quickly followed. This was soon recreated by an enthusiast in the form of a mod for the simulator game Assetto Corsa.

Las Vegas: keep going straight

The track shown in the video will not be an exact representation of the future Las Vegas circuit, but it gives an idea of what the layout will look like. What stands out is that, as the previously released images suggested, the track is largely full throttle with a fairly low number of turns.

Perhaps that will be of interest to the new American viewer, but for the seasoned Formula 1 viewer, it may take some getting used to. Given the location and the fact that it will be an evening race, the spectacle is likely to be partly in the flashy surroundings of the 'Nevada Neon.'
