Red Bull Racing reached a new high in the 2021 Formula One season. For the first time since the introduction of the hybrid era, the world title was won by a non-Mercedes driver. It was a spectacular season with an equally spectacular finale, in which Max Verstappen triumphed. The team looks back on the season in a new video.

Mercedes was finally challenged

"The hybrid era of Formula 1 has been about Mercedes-Benz," former Red Bull driver David Coulthard in the video. "But as sure as you're winning in Formula 1, there is a team that is hungry and motivated and structuring in a way to take that crown away from you."

The world champion himself also contributes to the video. "There have been many highlights this year, like winning in Monaco and two home races in Austria," he says. For Dutch viewers, however, there was a moment that was even more special: "Winning my home race at Zandvoort," Verstappen said.
