I'd say that because it's RBR, that Mercedes wouldn't want to strengthen one of their competitors so I can't see them releasing someone like Andrew Shovlin or Bradley Lord from their contract to become the TP at RBR. And if RBR don't promote from within, then maybe Tom McCullough at AM? Perhaps someone outside currently outside F1 like Aldo Costa or Paul Hembry?07-07-2025 15:27

I read the statement that Lewis has made and think that for Lewis to make such a statement is fine as long as Fred V is the TP of Ferrari, as Fred gives off a vibe of being an "easy-going" guy plus they have worked together in the past before being in F1. But what happens If Fred V is dismissed? Were all somewhat familiar with the whispers/rumours about Fred being under pressure by the higher powers at Ferrari to show improved team performance. If Fred's gone, what would a new TP think or say about stuff like that?04-07-2025 13:16

Anyone else just waiting for a response from RBR on Ted's comment? And who will be the first to reply, Christian or Helmut? I'd say this should give us all a good laugh or two.30-06-2025 13:11

If this news has truth to it in some manner, I'd be surprised if John Elkann let CH get away as it'd been rumoured for some time John had been trying to get CH to lead the Scuderia for some time now. But if did have to leave RBR, would CH go to Maranello to lead Ferrari? Alpine just seems so unstable right now. Interesting time for F1 news indeed.06-06-2025 13:52

In some aspects, it makes sense to base the calendar around certain races based on their geographical location. The moving of Canada to a few weeks earlier seems to appease the Miami circuit [imho]. Much too cold and weather can be uncertain as opposed to its current June date. Not to mention why are they crossing the Atlantic twice a year to race in North America if there is such great concerned about the carbon footprint. I'd suggest only a triple header for NA of Mexico, Austin & Montreal to cover NA beginning in mid to late May and then do the European circuits for the summer. Alas as a member of the "great-unwashed", I know my suggestion is irrelevant when it comes to the powers that be. Ah well....09-04-2025 14:56

Personally, I'm curious as to how or if such a proposed sale might affect the plans to alter the racing calendar to create a more regional based calendar? Currently a few of the circuits would be moved from their current date to another. If a new owner takes over would this still be mandatory, or if a new ownership gives less credence to such an occurrence, would things stay somewhat "as-is"? Not sure how much of a fight the FIA would put up in such a situation.08-04-2025 13:33

Since both McLaren drivers have new contracts to stay with the team, I'd like to hear a journo break the news by stating who has an exit clause and what it'd take to exercise that clause. If Oscar does have this priority clause does exist, got to admit I'm not that surprised. I"d suspect that Lando probably has one too. Otherwise, I'd think either of their managers aren't doing a good enough job for their client.01-04-2025 14:13

Getting Monaco to move from their date in May to early June makes me curious about something. Makes me think that Formula One/Liberty Media will now try to get Montreal to change from their usual early June date to May to pair it with Miami (as has been rumoured a few times in the past).15-11-2024 02:49
